The Seven-branched Candlestick
The Seven-branched Candlestick is a reference to the traditional Menorah, although redesigned with the 7/3 Heptagram within the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. The bible traditionally describes the Menorah as having 7 candles, but 6 branches. (See Exodus 25:31-40.)
The Golden Dawn’s version alludes to the Planets and their Attributions. The planetary symbol is written within the points of the heptagram, with their letters written in the Triangle. Also included are Hebrew names and the Seven Churches of Asia.
This arrangement is different from the Heptagram of the Seven Days. This arrangement shows the spheres descending counterclockwise (following the lines of the Heptagram) from Saturn to Jupiter to Mars to Sol etc...
